#1 - DUE BY WEDNESDAY, JUNE 13

EXTRA CREDIT POSTER PROJECT

Make a poster titled “What is Love?”

On the poster, neatly display the lyrics for at least three love songs from three different decades (1920’s, 1950’s, 1960’s, 1980’s, etc., your choice).  Be sure to include the title, composer/artist, and date/decade.

For each song, highlight all of the imagery and figurative language (similes, metaphors, personification) used to describe love.

After each song, write a short paragraph explaining how someone in love (or who is loved) acts and feels according to the song.

#2  EXTRA CREDIT SONNET PROJECT- DUE BY WEDNESDAY, JUNE 13

Here's a challenging extra credit project for students who want an additional project grade. Use the links below to help you create a Shakespearean sonnet. This is not easy, and it will take time. However, if you need to bring up your grade, you like a challenge, or you love to write poetry, give it a try. Remember, projects are 25% of your grade in the class. If you can do this well, you will be very proud of yourself!
Your Shakespearean sonnet MUST be typed.
